How do we lay tarmac driveways?
Step 1: Preparation and Excavation
We'll start by preparing the site for the tarmac driveway installation. This includes clearing the area of any debris, vegetation, and old surfaces. We'll then excavate the ground to the required depth to create a solid base for the driveway. Proper drainage considerations will be taken into account during this stage.
Step 2: Sub-base and Base Layer
Our team will then lay and compact a layer of aggregate, typically MOT Type 1, to create a stable sub-base. Ensuring even compaction is crucial to prevent settling and unevenness.
